Heavy cotton and floral dress from the late 80's early 90's. Made in Pakistan. Beautiful dress with floral fabric across the shoulders, down the arm and a centre panel at the back which is edged with floral embroidered trim. Open neck with a collar.
Amazing leg of mutton sleeves with a puff shoulder and the accent of the floral fabric coming to a point really highlights this shape.
The rest of the dress is a gorgeous khaki green cotton which buttons up with 10 small white buttons. The skirt is very full and a-line and pleated all around the waist giving the skirt maximum volume! There is a pocket each side and tie back ties.
I love the detail on the back of the central floral panel going down to a low v point and then into the skirt of the dress.
This is such a beautifully made and incredible dress made with so much fabric and it is a delight to wear. There are some condition issues - some small wear on the embroidered trim and also some discolouring to the khaki fabric on the back of the dress and mainly on the left side. It looks like sun spotting so I wonder if it was stored near light. Please see the last images to see the issues. It really feel it doesn't detract from the dress at all and it all adds to the history and journey of this beautiful dress!
